WELCOME TO PMA

Thank you for visiting the website of the Product Management Alliance! The PMA is considered the voice of manufacturers and trade associations on the issue of recovery, take-back programs and other extended producer responsibility models. Our members are key stakeholders as municipal and state governments examine this issue and as policymakers develop principles to guide them to sound environmental and waste management policies.

OUR MISSION

The Product Management Alliance is a national coalition of organizations that believe that all parties share responsibility for effectively managing a product throughout its lifecycle.

Objectives:

* The PMA advocates for voluntary, market-based producer responsibility efforts and voluntary incentives for increased recycling and sustainable design. This, in turn promotes local and domestic production and manufacturing.
* The PMA supports industry sectors as legislatures and regulators discuss the merits of extended producer responsibility proposals.
* The PMA opposes extended producer responsibility proposals that, through the force of legislation or regulation, shift the cost of product reclamation and disposal onto manufacturers.
